Doctor

Doctor is a panel-wide module: DiscoPanel starts it automatically and it watches every server on the panel. When a modded server crashes during startup, Doctor reads the crash, works out which mod is responsible - a missing dependency, a duplicate jar, a mod built for the wrong Java or loader version - and applies a fix: disabling the offending mod, or installing the dependency it needs. Then it restarts the server and checks whether the fix took.

Every incident is recorded with the evidence, the actions taken, and the outcome, and every action is reversible. You can follow along in the server’s console. If a crash can’t be pinned on a specific mod, Doctor gives up and says so rather than guessing forever.

Turning it off

It’s on by default. Configure it from the Doctor category in Settings, with per-server overrides on each server’s properties page. To turn it off entirely, set module.doctor_enabled: false in the panel configuration.
